Open Air Cleaner On A Carb

A while back someone posted on this topic. I finally found the air cleaner that I had made for mine. I took two identical air cleaner lids and made mine. I took one lid and cut a square hole in it and welded a square base onto it to fit onto the carb.

Here is a picture of the hood I was running at the time.
(I apologize ahead of time if some of you find the girl offensive but this was the best picture I have of the hood)

What kind of welding did you use? I like that hood. The girl wasn't offensive, but the white stripes on that bikini top made me a bit dizzy!

Screw the chick (tho it does bring back memories of my days of Maryland Women!)
CHECK OUT THE 1967 BUTTERNUT YELLOW CAMARO (LIKE MINE, BUT I HAVE AN RS/SS) CONVERTIBLE.
I also like the Blue 1968 with the Z-28 white stripes!

I mig welded it.

The girl is actually Ms. Budweiser. The bikini was pretty wild, it was also a thong. The bad thing was is that my wife was 8 months pregant at the time and the last thing she wanted to see was someone like her.
Ms. Budweiser later changed into the famous white one piece and they took a few select cars to another location for some better pictures. Mine was one of them. If you look beside my Camaro you can just see the rear of a white one. It had the targo hatch on it. I came home with a third place trophy in the thirdgen catergory from that show.

Women are beautiful when they're pregnant!

The picture was taken back in 1994. We had a boy. In fact she went into labor on our way to another car show the following month, needless to say I missed that one.

On a side note if anyone is interested in that air cleaner I no longer use it, so drop me an e-mail.

Now that's what I call a GREAT WAY TO GET YOUR SON INTERESTED IN THE CAR HOBBY FIELD!
My Son gets very quiet when I drive him around in the 1974 Corvette.
He's still kinda trying to see over the dash in his car seat!
I thik he like the way the exhaust feels in is butt! He does seem to like the noise & breeze!
