Sounds like clutch chatter (at least that is what I call it).Its the same thing as a brake rotor that gets a hot spot in it and gives you that shaky steering wheel shudder.Could be caused by many things, oil leaking from rear main onto clutch, out of whack linkage, clutch slipping slightly causing it to over heat the flywheel, the list goes on.Not necessarily meaning time for a new clutch if you can live with the shudder. If it isn't to bad I would keep driving it,at least that is what I did till I built my new motor and swapped it out.
