Auto to manual trans speedometer
Greetings members!
This is my first post and I apologize if there's information already out there on this, but I'm having trouble finding any.
I had my 700r4 auto converted to a t56 manual in my 85 firebird and obviously the speedometer is no longer functioning.
Does anyone know how to make it work with my manual transmission? Any info is greatly appreciated!
Jesse

That conversion box is the easiest and least expensive way to go. The other option is just swapping your gauges but that's significantly more work and money, but that's what I did. If your gauges work well and you have a fairly stock(ish) engine, the converter is the move. Even if you want you could use it w different gauges down the road.
they also make gps driven speedos. I have no experience w that.

You've already converted the trans timers to electronic, convert the gauges too. I went with Dakota Digital gauges and they work with an electric input that is able to be calibrated to almost anything, The other gauges are better than the factory one's too. They have some playtoy type stuff as well, 0-60, quarter mile timers built in I really like mine. Spending 340 bucks just to convert with no other improvement seems like a lot. It is still about half what the DD's cost but I really like mine. Just presenting an alternate plan,
