91 Z28. I'm doing an engine swap so I need to make the TCC lock up. I purchased a Painless lock up kit. Their brake switch has two terminals for brake lights (red circle) & two for the lockup kit (green circle). My OE switch has three wires (orange, lt blue, yellow) for the brake lights and a blue plug for the cruise control to the ecm. I want to keep cruise c. I can figure out how to hook up the brake lights but how do I hook up the cruise control and the TCC kit? Should I leave the OE switch and add their switch? What have others done? What do gurus suggest?
The cruise doesn't really interact with TCC. Only the gear the trans is in, the vehicle speed, vacuum, and the brakes. No need to worry about it. The TCC will automatically respond to whatever the cruise commands via those other inputs.
