Axle Seal & Carrier Bearing for 7.5 Differential
1984 Firebird 7.5 26 splne axles 3.23 gear. I have a Yukon Dura Grip Posi to be installed soon in my car. I believe that I should replace the seals.
Anyone have a part number for the seals, preferably Timken or a link to a source? FOUND seals!!
Also, need the carrier bearing for same Posi. Part number or link to a source? Checking with Quick Performance for the bearing

rockauto.com is your friend. Whether they ship to ON or not, you can always get part #s.
Don't forget, when you buy "axle bearings", you're only getting the outer race and the rollers. The axle itself is the inner race. 99.9999% of all stock axles are fornicated where the bearings ride on them, and the other .0001% are the ones still sitting on the shelf in the factory. Consider carefully before changing out the "bearings" & seals while leaving the destroyed inner race unrepaired.
The cure of course is, to replace the axles at the same time. But only a bonehead (someone even worse than me, if such a thing is even possible) would buy new 26-spline axles. Since of course, being intelligent as you are, you bought a 28-spline carrier, now's the time to upgrade the axles as well, especially since your crappy current 26-spline garbage won't even fit your new 28-spline carrier anyway.

Car only has 28000 miles so I really want to replace the seals. I know all about the axle bearing that the Windsor Police had with the bearing, races, etc
failing with use.

This makes me believe that he went with 26 spline.
