I commented on your FB post, but what did you use to cut the oval? I used a hole saw on my last conversion, but I like the way the oval fits better.

Will this work with Hawks pedals and the m/cyl that comes in their conversion kit. I'm doing the TKX conversion from 700r4 on a 91. Like the idea of the doubler to stiffen the firewall, when will you have them available

At the 4:40 mark, you can see what I did to cut the oval. Basically a hole saw, cutoff wheel, then a carbide bit.

the hawks master cly is a Ripoff of the Tick.
So yes it will work.
Although I recommend ppl NOT buy something stolen from another product

As far as the doubler, that's still in the works.
Those plates require a CNC water jet to make, so I can't just make them easily.

Great video, very impressive project - what recomendations do you have for those of us wanting to do a complete stock (all original OEM parts) manual trans swap without removing the engine, master cylinder, etc ??

You can cut the clutch master hole from inside the car.
it's cramped, but there's room.
Some plastic can be used to keep shavings from flying everywhere.

This is really slick. It appears that the plates are aluminum? Any chance you'd make them in steel so one could spot weld them into place and not rely on bolts?

I used the clutch hole template and it work out very well.
Well worth the cost !!!

I used this on my 82 about a year ago. It works great. My 82 already was a manual. The hole in the fire wall needed to be elongated and the bolt holes for the Mc needed to be drilled. This template is especially useful on the 82-83 cars that have the less supported firewall. It also helped me make a plate to double up the fire wall for support
