Dana 44 axles

I am in the middle of a custom application axles and I have to send my "STOCK" D44 axle(s) to Strange so they can measure the spline, and maybe the lengths.

Does anyone need/want Strange to make them axles? Now would be the time since they are going to get at least one of my axles (maybe both) for measurements. I am sure we can help each other out here and get them to have this info in their "system" so they can be reproduced/upgrades
Can reply here and/or PM.

Re: Dana 44 axles

Was it Skinny who recently posted engineering drawings for Dana 44? Were the axle shafts included in that?

Re: Dana 44 axles

I'm going to say that I doubt they will even want to entertain the drawings, even if it's there.
There was more, and less, info on the drawings than I thought there would be

Re: Dana 44 axles

It is best to send the Stock axles, instead of sending measurements.

For example the spline length of the Stock axles, most likely will only be used as a approximate dimension.
I say this because the Stock axles have an under-cut, where the splines end (a weak spot where failure often occurs).
Most likely, the custom axles will not have this under-cut...
For strength and most likely as the splines are not made the same way that the Stock splines were.
