Need help finding the right flexplate

Hey all,

I was hoping that someone might be able to help me. I have a 700R4 transmission that I am currently trying to mate up with an 85' 305 block with 2 piece rear main seals. The flexplate for the 700R4 won't fit and the only flexplate I can find for the 85' is designed for the TH350. I tried chatting with someone at summit, had a couple mechanic friends that I know look into it, and even spoke with someone from Pioneer and on one can find anything that will work. Has anyone tried this kind of combination and made it work? If so, would you mind sharing the flexplate part and part number?

Thanks

Re: Need help finding the right flexplate

There is no difference between the TH350 and the 700R4 flexplate AFAIK. Just number of teeth and internal/external balance.

If you need a 153 tooth then order a car flexplate for an 84 Camaro V8 automatic. This will be 2 piece RMS and 700R4.

If you need a 168 tooth then order a truck flexplate..... my 84 Blazer V8 automatic was 700R4 stock.
