Dana 60 Clearance
So I've been doing some research, and seems that Ford 9 inch rear ends like to hit the floor boards especially if our cars are lowered or have anyone sitting in the back seats. Do Dana 60s suffer this issue as well? TIA..

There's literally thousands of people running 9 inch rears in 3rd Camaro/Firebird. The 4th gen cars things get pretty tight but they fit

Re: Dana 60 Clearance
I have a 12 bolt and have a dent in the floor from the torque arm bracket hitting the body. Pinion angle was adjusted wrong by the speed shop (nose high), using a heavy-duty adjustable torque arm. Happened when the suspension sunk deep into the chassis while driving through a wallow on the freeway. Never happened again since I corrected that issue, but I can see it happening with larger pumpkin.

Not a lie at all, its been posted multiple times on this board alone
9 inch hitting the floors? That's a lie. I put a Quick Performance 9 in my 91 and it fits great with room to spare. The only thing that could hit would be my torque arm but I've just got to cut the bracket to get to the inside holes and it's good to go.

Like QwkTrip said anything large than the stock 10 bolt might have a chance that the floor will need to get clearanced, I had to do the same thing with my Moser 9"

How low do you want to go? My car is pretty low, almost on the bump stops, with a fabricated 9" and the big moser 9" torque arm mount. Zero clearance issues in the tunnel. Only thing that hits is the giant fill plug that is on top of the diff contacts the gas tank over large bumps.

Re: Dana 60 Clearance
My 9" moser hit the vertical section of the back seat tunnel metal a bit with the upper tq arm mount bolt. The random tech tq arm grazes the tunnel a bit due to that and centering of the rear. Car is lowered an 1" or so.
Saying this, I do have an aluminum pig. Even with some grinding on the ribs, I had to space the bolt on cast mount out a little bit. I'm fairly sure that is what caused the issues with my setup.

Good to know.. Thanks for the replies! I want to say that a Dana 60 has a larger pumpkin than a 9 inch, but I could be wrong.
