Transmission Shift Cable
Wassup guys!! My transmission shift cable is broken and I am looking for some opinions on what brand to go with and which ones to stay away from. Is there a aftermarket cable that can be used? Or should I just get the b&m megashifter (which is not in budget but if the other cables wont last then I may have to) Thanks Guys!!

Re: Transmission Shift Cable
My experience with an aftermarket / parts store shifter cable is that it lasted about 3 months. Lots of similar stories on this board. I found a good, used OEM cable, on TGO, and it has been working fine for 2 years.
There is now a thread on a new, improved aftermarket shifter cable in Transmission and Drivetrain, I think, maybe Aftermarket Product Review.
I have no experience with the cables that com with aftermarket shifters.

Re: Transmission Shift Cable
Thanks Burnout91 I have seen the same stories about the new shifter cables from local auto stores. I guess I will have to search hard for a oem cable or buy a b&m megashifter.
