Stiff clutch pedal after driving awhile (FIXED)

Need some help with my clutch guys. Just did a T5 swap from auto. Everything went smooth for the most part. Over a few days after a decent drive my clutch pedal would get fairly stiff. Still shifted fine, no grinding. However when cold, it's nice and smooth. Used all new hydraulics with a steel braided line and 4AN fittings. Today I replaced the master and cylinder along with new different fluid, was fine for the first mile and then same exact problem.

I remember when installing the new throwout bearing to the old clutch fork, it was very loose. It'd fall right out the clutch fork if tilted down. Would this cause any problems? Also used a new clutch kit. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Stiff clutch pedal after driving awhile

Did some research and the more appropriate term seems to be binding. When doing the throwout bearing and clutch fork, etc. I didn't lube anything. What exactly needs lube? Clutch fork pivot ball, throwout bearing? The specifics as I have no idea.

Got it all resolved. Got a new clutch fork and used some Lucas Red N Tacky grease on all the areas that were supposed to have it since I didn't lube anything. Scored my bearing retainer a little but some emory cloth and it looks like new. End result is the pedal feels better than ever, shifts feel way better.

Re: Stiff clutch pedal after driving awhile (FIXED)

Hey, Did a t5 swap last year, and my pedal is stiffer than I would like it. Maybe I have similar issues. Mine seems to be kind of stuff all time. It works fine, but i know it should be easier to depress the pedal. Where did you lube to fix your problems?
Thanks!

Mine only got stiff after warmed up. Dead cold it was smooth. I wet sanded with fine sandpaper the bearing retainer to get a nice smooth surface, put some Lucas red n tacky #2 on there, stuffed some in the pilot bushing, on the clutch fork pivot ball, inside the throw-out bearing where it rides on the bearing retainer, and also where throw-out bearing slides into the clutch fork. I was generous with it the lube as well. Ever since I did this, been smooth as butter.
