Car: 91 Firebird 'vert, 91 Formula

Engine: 5.7, 5.0

Transmission: T56, T5

Axle/Gears: Auburn w/ 3.73's, 3.42

Thoughts on my gear pattern

First time attempting a gear install. Gears are used Richmond 4.10's. They call for .008" Backlash, I'm at .009". I think I'm pretty good, especially on coast side which is what I've read I want when installing used gears. Any one with experience care to chime in? Thx!

Yes, coast pattern looks pretty good. Does it feel smooth when you turn it in both directions?

Yes, turns very smoothly in both directions.

Stick and axle in it and turn it both directions as fast as you can. If it feels smooth in both directions and you can't hear the teeth when they come together then I'd say you've got it. Set the bearing preload and run it.
