Recommendations for Posi Parts Manufacture
Looking for any recommendations and successes any of you may have had with a 10 bolt-7.65 Posi install. I installed Yukon 28 spline axles and bearings a last year and am ready to purchase the parts now for the posi install. What brand (s) / manufacture do you recommend?
Thanks to all for your input,
Roy

Re: Recommendations for Posi Parts Manufacture
The Eaton Posi is a good unit for most street/strip use. If you want something a little cheaper then the Yukon Dura Grip is also good. The Eaton Truetrac and Torsen are also good. You can sometimes find the Torsen used on ebay. Just DO NOT get the Auburn or Eaton Governor Lock.

Re: Recommendations for Posi Parts Manufacture
I rebuilt my 10 bolt recently...
Went with the Eaton True Trac over Posi for a few reasons... No clutches to wear... and the Posi gives more power to the wheel that's slipping, the True Trac gives more power to the wheel with traction...
I got Richmond gears, Yukon rebuild kit, LPW Cover & Brace, Motive / Factory 10 28 Spline axles...
Very happy so far...

Re: Recommendations for Posi Parts Manufacture
The Eaton Posi and Yukon Dura Grip do not wait for a tire to slip and is using a clutch pack at a minimum of 400 lbs preload. and that is magnified with torque applied.
That means you have positive traction with both tires ,no tire slip necessary.

Works perfect for my application. (street use for now)
