TH 350 Install help
I got a 350 with a TH 350 trans to put in my 92 RS. Car came with no motor or trans and my TH350 is a 6in tailshaft (shorttail). What do I need to get to make this work. Also I have a 82 z28 that was a 3 speed auto but trans was taken out but I have driveshaft and crossmember for that car if that could help me? Please help this is only thing stoping my swap.

Re: TH 350 Install help
Since you already have the longer driveshaft from the 82 with the 200c 3 speed, the swap is easier. Normally a 700R4 to TH350 swap is done with a long tailshaft TH350 so that the driveshaft length doesn't have to be changed..
The crossmember will work however the mounting pad will probably need moving forward about 2". The TH350 also won't have a place to mount the torque arm. Swap kits are available however the best option is to buy an aftermarket torque arm with crossmember for a TH350. The crossmember will be in the proper position for the transmission and the torque arm will mount to the crossmember instead of the tailshaft housing.

Re: TH 350 Install help
It is a long-shot, but IF you can find a Monza tailstock it will be 6" and will have the torque arm mounting points.
