Auto to T5, Flywheel question
I just bought a 1986 Z28 as a donor car for my 5-speed swap. I've heard about the 1 piece and 2 piece RMS motors having different flywheels. The 1986 Z has a 305 out off an 84 Monte, so the flywheel will not bolt up to my 1pc RMS motor correct? Where can I buy the correct one?

Won't bolt up.
You can buy the correct one pretty much anywhere. Looks like under $80 shipped from RA. AZ, Advance, O-R and NAPA should also carry them.

Ok cool, thanks. Do you know where I can get a VSS for the tranny? It has a mechanical one on it, and the speedo in my firebird is electronic.

Swap over the electronic speed sender and gears from your old 700R4. Should bolt right in.
