Car: 1985 iroc z
Engine: Crate 350
Transmission: T56
Axle/Gears: 3:24
5th gear whine
Just put a fully rebuilt WC borgwarner t5 and it has a sligh whine in 5th iv been told by multiple people its normal is that true? I just wanted to see what you guys thought of that

Depends on your definition of "slight"...
Most transmissions, it has about the same whine as 3rd. (which generally is, not much) If it's like that, it's OK. More than 3rd, ... probably needs a new 5th gear set.

Its a little louder then 3rd not much it goes almost completely away once it warms up but everyone is telling me im parinoied i just spent 2300 converting the car to a stick ofcourse im parinoied haha but other than that its fine if been told that its going to be louder because its the gear closest to the top of the trans and it doesnt have a barein it relys on 4th gears bareing, its driveing me nuts i dont know weather to take it back to where i bought it and have him see if theres anything wrong with or just keep riding it out
