Re: 9 bolt gears
Sure...
Any from any other 3 series 9-bolt. Or of course, from the store. No problem.
Then all you have to do, is find all the bearings & seals.

Bunch of smart asses. Lol.
Pretty much any 9 bolt gear will fit your carrier. It's the 2 series ones that suck. Only 2.77 and 3.08 fit 2 series. You can order pretty much any other ratio for 3 series. I went with 3.70s of course I had to replace my 2 series with a 3. I think you can get all the way up to like 4.30s...

Re: 9 bolt gears
Rear end parts don't interchange. 9 bolt parts ONLY fit 9 bolt rear ends, 7.5 10 bolt parts ONLY fit 7.5 10 bolt rear ends, 12 bolt parts ONLY fit 12 bolt rear ends...

Correct. OP, if you have a 9 bolt 3 series carrier there are a lot of 9 bolt 3 series carrier options. Just look. I got my Motive 3.70s with install kit from Hawks Third Gen.

Re: 9 bolt gears
The particular seal that seems to be a problem is one of the axle seals. Be REAL cautious about the idea of pulling the axles unless you already have both sides in your hand. (they're different... don't ask me why somebody thought THAT was A Good Idea...)
