4th gen pedal & hydraulics install w/ idea pic's
Well, swapping a t56 into my auto car and had a couple of idea's on how to install 4th gen pedals the easiest way possible and I have to tell you, went in like it was made to be there. No headache, first time go on everything. Thought I would share incase anyone has been dreading the install for this reason.
My goals:
1) Not to have to remove the brake booster to install pedals / hydraulics. What an unnecessary PITA.
2) to have a completely factory look.
I must mention that I have taken out the AIR system in my car. It may get in the way of installing the master cylinder in the firewall, not sure.
Benefit of the 4th gen pedals is that the top piece comes off. Cut your new hole something like this.
Next, use a 1.5" hole saw to cut a hole in a piece of cardboard.
Put your cardboard over the master cylinder and proceed to drill the mounting holes. This should go without saying but DONT DRILL THROUGH/CUT YOUR FINGERS...
Now you have a perfect template to cut your hole in the firewall.
Fits like a glove.
Remove this mounting piece and you can slide the reservoir under the booster.
