At last! Posi, PBR and prop valve done and driven.
It's taken me a while as it was my first time doing this. I rebuilt a 9-bolt posi unit with 3.27 gears to replace one with 2.77 gears and replaced the DM brakes with 1LE PBRs and added an adjustable prop valve. The posi was machined (step and cone noses) by a friend and I shimmed (Ratech) and installed it. I want to thank all those who have posted how to articles and given me all kinds of feed back and kept me straight on what to do. Also thanks to those who sold me parts at great prices or even gave me stuff.
I finished on Wednesday and auto-crossed on Saturday. I can hear nothing from the rear end. Not a whine or clunk and the posi works perfectly and smoothly. The brakes also work perfectly locking just a little after the front. The difference on road and track is great. Braking distance is much reduced and applying power out of a corner doesn't just spin the inside wheel. It's been a fun experience and I highly recommend it to anyone. There's lots to read but it's not difficult. You just have to be patient and careful. I've attached pics of the (Summit) prop valve. I made a little bracket to attach it to the distribution block and had the lines reflared and with a little bending the lines matched right up. The brakes aren't new or super shiny but they work great and look good inside the Snypers. Again thanks to TGO.

Nice work! Those wheels look like ZS's to me though

You're correct. I don't know much about wheels. Someone told me they were Snypers. I should have looked them up.

Base91 good to hear that. I'm actually starting my rebuilt today. What shims did you used from ratech? I just purchased the 1104 for the posi.
Thanks
Thanks

Luckily I just needed the 1104 part to shim above the cones. The original carrier shims were spot on and pinion depth (also the 1104 part) was correct too without additional shimming. I bought the solid pinion spacer and it comes with it's own set of shims.

Thanks, Hopefully my rear end comes out in working order once I'm done. I also have the 3.27's that I will be using for autocross.

Just read all the stuff carefully and understand it before putting stuff together. Good luck.
