9-bolt bent axle??
I got the carrier in and all set up right and the axles in. I test fitted a disk on one side and measured the run out at the outside edge with a dial gauge. 0.003 inches. Is that acceptable? The 1Le caliper is centered and parallel to within a few thou' as well.
When I tried the same disk on the other axle the run out was 0.110 inches. I'm not a mechanic but that seems like it's too much. Am I correct and the only likely reason is the axle is bent? If so can the axle be straightened or is it better to get a new one or at least a straight used one? If the latter does anyone have a straight PS axle for sale?

Yeah that's too much.
That'll have the tire tread wobbling by around 5 times that amount; a half-inch or so. Clearly .... unpleasant at speed.
Yes most likely it's because the axle is bent. Surprisingly common actually.

The .003 runout is all right, but .110 is way to omuch. That's going to cause a lot of problems with your brakes too. Check the runout on the axle flange without the disc and see what it is.

I did and it was appreciable too compared to the good one. Got to bite the bullet and buy another.
