Transmission Mount Vibration?

Hey guys,

I'm tracking down a driveline vibration and i'm at my wits end with this sh*t..It's actually more of a strong HUMMMMMM accompanied by a slight vibration..It happens from 50+ depending on how high the RPM's are

I've changed the pinion angle on my torque arm several times no change, new wheels and tires.

NOW: What i've recently come up with is the transmission mount.. the current lakewood transmission mount is the wrong one measuring 1.937 inches..

The Prothane suspension mount which is for our cars measures 1.77 inches, would it being off that small amount cause such a heavy HUMMM/vibration?

Or am i wasting my time by changing the mount to the correct one..

Lakewood 24350- the mount currently on the car 1.937 inches

Prothane 7-1604- the correct mount according to spohn and others 1.77 inches

PLEASE some input.

Thanks fellas

Driveline is Stock driveshaft with T-56,Dana 44 with 4.09's

Re: Transmission Mount Vibration?

I have heard that with the Prothane transmission mount you will get vibration, I always use the stock rubber transmission mount. This might help you.

Re: Transmission Mount Vibration?

Weather cleared up and i threw the OEM trans mount in PROBLEM FIXED!! it feels like i went from driving a tank to driving a cadillac, really just amazing how smooth it is.. took the car to mexico and hit about 105MPH and the noise was still there but about 5% of what it was but i blame it on the torque arm still being out of adjustment. can't express how happy i am lmao...

Thanks everybody i appreciate your input big time. saved me possibly $1,000's
