Car hesitates to get out of overdrive
My car is an 88 camaro that I swapped the 2.8 out for a 3.1 and just got it back on the road. It has a 700r4 and everything runs great but I have a problem when it goes into over drive. If I'm going down the road at say 45mph in overdrive and I want to pass a car the car just won't go any quicker than 45 unless I floor it or put it into the D without the circle. At 45 in OD it will cruise at 2k rpm's and it runs fine unless I decide to go a little quicker. Maybe I'm just not used to the 700r4 but I don't think it should be doing that. At highway speeds (65-75) it does great its mostly at speeds under 55. TV cable adjustment maybe?

Does it ever downshift by flooring it at any speed? I would verify the TV cable is connected and adjusted first.

Yes it does downshift but only when you floor it then when you get to your desired speed it goes back into OD. TV cable is connected, I disconnected it off the TB and pulled on it and it felt like it got tension when pulling it and I'm not sure how
