Is 2000 stall too much?
So I'm getting closer to actually finishing my engine swap to a 350 mild mod daily driver and when we pull out the old engine and trans I'll be putting a shift kit in and the TCI lockup kit along with changing the torque converter. My buddy that's helping me suggested a 2000 stall converter but before we get to that point I wanted some opinions from you guys. Is that too much for a daily driver? I don't mind a little poorer fuel economy but I'm in no way building hot rod here. Just putting a newly rebuilt engine into an old car. I want to have fun driving it but want a very "streetable" feel too.
What do you think?

you could go a little more if you want, correct me if i'm wrong but the stock stalls were somewhere between 1500-1900

I've seen stock stalls from 1200-1500, watching tachometers, not going by advertisements.
I'd suggest you try driving that 2000 for a while, and try to find a ride in something already fitted with a bit more stall. Best to sample someone else's investment, right?
