LT1/T56 cluch master/slave setup...?
Hey everyone. I have a 1989 RS Camaro that had 2.8L V6/T5. I am swapping a 95' LT1 & 97 or 98 T56 6 speed manual trans into my car. I am finishing up the list of small parts to complete the swap. I already bought a new clutch slave cylinder. I am just wondering is it possible to use my stock T5 5 speed clutch master cylinder assembly and make it work w/ the LT1 slave cyl setup...? I'm not sure if the LT1 clutch master cylinder is a larger fluid volume or what. Places are telling me the clutch master/slave cylinder setup for LT1's is a complete assembly...but I already have the slave. Just curious what I can or have to do to make my clutch setup work. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks.

The 98 setup is for an LS and won't work with the LT1. You can get a complete hydraulic assembly from GM for pretty cheap that will work with the LT1. I know you said you already have the slave but you will risk the chance of damaging something by trying to swap parts.
