12 bolt disc brakes
I obtained a 12 bolt from a 70 chevelle with 4.11 posi gears for too good of a price to turn down. From what I can tell, length wise its very close to swap in. I can swap the spring perches no prob and am going to fab up modified 4 link also to eliminate the torque arm. One thing I cant find out easily is if my factory disc brakes will swap over to this rear end. I did find out that the conversion kits out there work with both 10 and 12 bolts, so there must be similarities at the least.

The 7.5 had 2 different ends. The late '70s through the '80s they had a triangle shaped brake flange that used 3 bolts to hold the backing plates. Then they went to the standard 4 bolt flange, which is the same as all of the other rear ends. They all use the same axle bearings and seals.
