Torque Arm Bracket on 700r4
Ok well I am in the middle of installing my 700r4 into my car and I kind of ran into a problem. I ended up buying a tranny without the holes in the tail shaft for the bracket. I didn't even think about it since I never had seen this tranny in the car. Soooo I bought the parts to take hold of the arm. If I try putting it on without going through the 2 holes do you think I will run into problems? I would just need to make a plate so it can hold onto the tail shaft and then the one screw that is next to the speedo would then be on the bracket also. I just want to make sure I won't bust off the tail or anything. I am just looking for somewhat of a temporary fix for now. I might look into going with an aftermarket crossmemeber with the torque arm bracket on but the only problem with that I would probably have to do some heavy modification to the exhaust since the crossmemeber usually come thinker than stock.

Check UMI performance for a tunnel mounted torque arm mount. That would be my suggestion.
