need help diagnosing drivetrain noise

my car has been making a grinding type of noise when i go over speed bumps or reverse direction. its done this ever since i broke my transmission mount and replaced it with a poly mount. ive checked under the car and there doesnt appear to be any thing rubbing. can anyone help me out?

also, my rear end has started to make noise as well when i make somewhat sharp turns. it has an eaton limited slip differential and motive 3.42 gears that are only about 8 months old so im a bit confused as to why its making noise and why its doing it now. if any of you guys can help with either of these problems, it would be greatly appreciated.

Re: need help diagnosing drivetrain noise

is this noise like gears grinding when you miss a shift or something not as profound?

it doesnt sound like gears grinding. it does sound like a metal hitting metal type of sound, almost like the exhaust is rubbing on the bottom of the car whenever the chassis flexes but ive looked and theres no indication of rubbing anywhere.

Check the dust shields on the rear brakes. that might be the sound you are hearing.

Broken tack weld and making noise when hitting a bump or rough road.
