Looking for input on going posi
I want to buy a posi upgrade for my car. I've found this one on ebay...

...would it work with my rear end? Is there anything I should know before buying?

That isn't a TracLock, it's an Auburn. I would pass on it. The Auburn wears out fairly quick and is not rebuildable. The Eaton is a much better differential. It will last MUCH longer than an Auburn and it's rebuildable if it ever does wear out. You can also tune the Eaton to fit your needs.

Have you considered or looked into a (used) rear end swap instead? No special tools or set up required.

Ok, so I've been looking up eaton diffs but I still don't really know what I need. Would my car have a 9 or 10 bolt rear? How do I find out? Do the lsd's have to support my car or are they universal parts? Would something like this one work in my car?

Nope, that's a Governor Lock for the 8.5 rear end. It's for the wrong rear end and you don't want a Governor Lock. You need an Eaton Posi for the 7.5 10 bolt with 26 splines. If you want to keep the 2.73 gears then forget about the Eaton Posi. They are only available in 3 series, which won't work with your 2.73 gears.
