Help comparing LT1&LS1 rears
Im looking to swap in a new rear with disc brakes. What are the differences between lt1 and ls1 rears. There the same width and there both 10 bolts right. If i heard right the ls1's have better brakes but are they leaps and bounds better than lt1's or just a lil better. Do they have the same style posi units? What im getting at is lt1 rears are cheaper for me but if i can justify the price ill go ls1

Re: Help comparing LT1&LS1 rears
The Lt-1 rears come with PBR brakes and have Auburn posi units, the LS1 rears come with a tad bit bigger brakes who most people say are better, they also come with the zexel torsen posi which is supposedly better. They are both the same size.
I look at it this way, a 4th gen rear more than likely has less miles on it than a junked 3rd gen one, so to me less miles means it will last longer, but i dont beat the **** out of my car either.

I hear the LSx rears are a bit narrower than LTx rears, but still wider than the 3rd gen rears, but can't find any confirmation of that.
