low mileage SSR LS1 t56
I have the chance to buy a low mileage SSR t-56 from an 05 SSR...
Anyone know if this trans is the same as the other LS1 transmissions? I would like to drop it into my Camaro with an adaptor plate, the extended pilot bushing and my T-5 clutch and hydraulics.
Thanks!

As far as I know it's the same bolt pattern ad bellhousing for any Gen III block. SSR's didn't have LS1's though. Went from 5.3's to the LS2.

Re: low mileage SSR LS1 t56
After browsing Google for a while..I found a partial answer...
The SSR/GTO T56 has different gear ratios than the LS1 series and some different internal parts...and some mention of a different input shaft.
I decided not to worry about acquiring one and just wait for a decent LS1 T-56 coming up...
