Plastic Master Cylinder outlet

Hey guys, I know that this has been talked about alot, but the search feature is not working for me so I thought I would ask what most of you guys are doing for the outlet on the plastic clutch master cylinder that most auto parts strores carry as a replacement. I thought that both the slave and master came as one unit so I am trying to figure out how to connect them now. I tried to thread the outlet and use a fuel fitting to connect a rubber hose, but the stupid plastic housing cracked. Anyone have a link to an aluminum unit? Or just a simple fix? Thanks guys.
