700R4 question
I have started rebuilding my trans which is a early '87 and i bought a reverse input drum that turned out to be for a later trans,so i had to buy a later reverse input piston. The problem i now have is with the clutch pack, the manual i have shows a extra plate for later transmissions,a bellville plate,my question is does the bellville plate have to be used or can i just fit my clutch pack for earlier the trans.
Thanks for any help.

Re: 700R4 question
your best bet is to set it up with the belville plate. that was one of GM's upgrades.
