Custom TV cable, how to adjust?

Hey all,

I got a stainless braided TV cable from when I did my LT1 swap. Since this is an aftermarket part, there is no self adjust mechanism to use. Any thoughts on how to adjust this? If it matters, it's a 93 LT1 with a 700R4.

Thanks!

Bowtie Overdrives makes a custom cable called the TV made EZ thats fully adjustable. Be prepared to throw down some loot though. They seem to stand behind their product and seem to take the TV system very seriously.

If thats the case, I'd rather just get a stock TV cable... only reason I want to keep this one, if because it's pretty.... lol. But not at the expense of a new tranny if I screw up...

Basically, duplicate the stock adjustment.

Block the throttle wide open; pull the cable all the way out and hold it that way; adjust it to where you can just barely hook it up.

Re: Custom TV cable, how to adjust?

I noticed on The TV made EZ page mentions to replace a custom length spring in the valve body. Is this specific for their TV systems? Why would that be so critical?
