running with out the tv cable
Will it hurt the trans if i dont use the tv cable. MY holley carb doesnt have the right throttle bracket to hook up the cable.

definitely don't do it, you'll have no pressure in the transmission, you can burn up the bands doing it, even just driving a mile down the road will burn them without fluid

OK cool thank you, I have not drove it. Would i beable to call up holly and see if i can change my throttle linkage on the carb to one that has the spot for the cable. My carb is a double pumper 4780 800cfm

Engine: 383, forged bottom end, 10.5 to 1 compression, GM fastburn vortec heads, Reed roller cam, roller rockers, Edelbrock air gap intake, Holley 4150, MSD Pro Billet
Transmission: Bowtie Overdrives Level 3
Check out www.700r4.com. I got the assembly for a Holley double pumper from them. It works great.
