I need a VSS as part of my swap to SD (730 ECM) with a T-5.

The trans in there had a cable VSS...

Both the dealer and the parts stores say there are two options:

First: RPO Code D81 or D89 (original GM part # of 10456022 or 10456089)

Second: RPO Code D8M or D8G (GM Parts # of 10456020 or 10456087)

The cost of one is $42 while the other is $90...Is one for a TBI and the other for TPI?

Tell me I can use the cheaper option...

Also...after doing some more checking around...there are two different VSS's for an auto and one for the manual...but no one can tell me which one I need!

Any input would be welcome...

Also, I found a VSS that a friend had that I believe is from a 91 Chevy truck with the 350/700F4 combo...it has the bolt hole in the wrong spot and a larger diameter body...Will that work?

I am going tomorrow to pick up both of the VSS options that I ordered...I just wish I knew which one was correct...
