Shifting problems
Hey guys. I'm at my wits end with my transmission. First off I have a 700R4, B&M mega shifter, Transgo shiftkit stage 2, and a corvette servo. I installed the shifter two years ago. No problems there. Now the shift kit and servo were installed last year. The transmission shifts fine under part throttle. But when I go to WOT and manually shift it won't shift untill 5500. I've been told this is due to too high of a line pressure. I've reading the archives and everone says to just change the springs in the governer. But Wouldn't that defeat the perpose of shifting the tranny on my own? I've also adjusted the TV cable. Before I did this the transmission wouldn't shift manually even at part throttle now it does.
If someone could shed some light on this for me. Maybe point me in the right direction.
Oh by the way. When I adjusted the TV cable I only heard two clicks. Is this right?
Thanks guys :hail:

Either way IMO (and I have been wrong before) I would say it is the governer you want to look at.

I talked to transgo today. They told me it was the governor. So I then phone around looking for a recalibration kit for the governor. www.700raptor.com sells them. They sell a superior unit. Lets hope this works.
