LS1 Driveshaft and 100% Satisfaction
Well, I just wanted to say that I recently picked up an driveshaft from a 2000 LS1/T56 Camaro.. Got it for $150 from a local yard. With my tired steel shaft (it has migrated from my last car after the genious who previously owned my GTA trashed the JG1 shaft by dragging it on the concrete while towing it ), I'd get vibrations that would get really bad starting from 75mph and up...
With the LS1 shaft, I have ZERO vibrations now (all the way up to 120mph test run!!). Anyone who is thinking about getting one of these shafts, DO IT!!! I thought that I only had vibrations starting at 75mph before, but now I realize they were there all the time, but got exponentially worse at high speeds.. My GTA rides SOOOO smooth now its crazy! Just wanted to spread the word again for those who might be on the edge of this decision...
Oh... and I also have an ES poly trans mount (no preload plate), and STILL no vibrations!
