I recently parted out an 87 caprice cop car, i have the oil cooler off of it and i was wondering could i use it as a trans cooler on my 7004r in my trans am.

I don't see any reason why not. Wash it out good with some mineral sprits or such and use it. Didn't those cars also come with a trans cooler? I think they were both the same size, form factor (maybe the '89s did).

I've been grabbing the coolers off of the F**d trucks and using them for trans coolers. I had always thought they were trans coolers until today. . . this one was still connected and engine oil poured out of it. Hmmm, still nice coolers.

i thoguht it had a trans cooler too but all that it had was the tank on the side of the radiator for the trans. well off i go to get the fittings for my new "trans cooler" lol
