Whick Of These 2 G.M. Torque Converters Is Best?
If I don't buy a A.C.T. 2200-2400 torque converter ($$$$$), I'm considering buying either one of these G.M torque converters. Either #24202310, known as the S-10 or "L-35" converter, or #24202174, 93 Corvette, I believe. I'm told they both stall around 2100-2200, depending on torque, etc. So, whats the differences, and which is better? I'd think the Corvette t-converter would handle torque better, since the S-10 one is intended for a 4.3 V-6. However, the S-10 is a pick-up application, so its probably strong anyway. Has anyone used either of these, and whats your impression, good / bad? I'm planning on putting one in my 85 IROC, mods below. Anybody know this?

As a matter of fact, I just used the mysterious button and used the keywords "Corvette AND Converter" and came up with 37 pages of topics...

O.K."GM Tech", my question was not simply about the S-10 converter itself, it was about a comparisson BETWEEN both the G.M. S-10 TC AND the Corvette TC in question, and how they might fair against each other AND against a A.C.T. 9.5 TC. Yes, they're are stand alone threads about these converters , but none comparing the 3 of them. I thought I, along with others, might find comparisons between these 3 informative and useful.
If all you can contribute is sarcasm, don't bother, or in your own words, "ignore topics like this". Do questions on this board need to be deemed valid by you before they are considered relevant by others? Doubtful.

I'm not going to beat a dead horse, but there are tons of posts on comparing the two (Vette -vs- L35). I think it goes without saying that the performance aftermarket (ACT) converters will out perform OEM converters in performance applications. You will pay more, but you get what you pay for. If money is a factor, then obviously, ACT is out of your field, so once again, your comparing the Vette -vs- L35 converter. Either one is a good improvment over stock. I say "good" loosely, its not GREAT like aftermarket performance converters. I have run with the L35 and an ACT 9.5" 2800.
Hahaha, you crack me up. Nice double post. And if "..............can you hear me know??????????????" isn't obnoxious, then I don't know what is.
