T-5 rebuild
I have a borg warner T-5 in my 85 trans am. I am building a 383 that the shop said will put out at least 450 horsepower and 500 lbs of torque. my question is what should i do to my trans so it will handle the power? the syncros for 1st and 2nd gear are bad already so its time to be rebuilt

Drive it gently, avoid big clutch dumps and speed shifting.
A rebuild is a rebuild, not a whole lot you can do. There's no way to make the shafts or gears any bigger, or the case stronger, or do anything else that really makes a huge difference to the ultimate strength of the trans. It's never going to be a 4-speed.
