Carb to TPI fuel delivery
I have in the past a fair amount of experience rebuilding/restoring stock TPI fuel delivery system. IE: supply and return lines, pick up and pump and FPR. But I know zero about carb system. I'm about to lean because I just bought an 87 convertible carb car and plan to install a TPI from an 88. Obviously that means swapping the pick up, pump and lines. I suspect that I'll also need to swap in the wiring and relays for the pump or is that already in (and dormant) in the harness for a carb setup? The engine has the FPR on it.
Can anybody think of anything else that I might be forgetting?

ECM, TPI harness and sensors, possibly the EEC module, air inlet ducts and filter housing, cooling fan (if the '87 still has a clutch fan), thermostat housing (to clear the TB), distributor (TPI used the small cap version by 1987, cars may have had the larger old design), throttle cable, accessory belt drive, and probably others I am forgetting.

Re: Carb to TPI fuel delivery
Hey thx Vader. Good thorough answer.
I’ve got all the electronics for the engine, ECM, and all the air intake stuff as well as the dual fan setup and wiring for that. My question here was mainly specific to the fuel delivery part of things. Getting the fuel forward.

If the carb has the FRP on it you'll see about 6 psi or so, need to get one for the port injection at 45 psi or so. Do you have the car with the TPI on it or just the system? The whole car would make it a lot easier to swap. Are both cars a 305 ci motor?

I have all the associated parts from the TPI motor. What I dont have is the correct stuff from the engine compartment back to the tank.

The flexible lines to connect the fuel rail to the existing hard lines and fittings. Said you had the pump so that’s it. Never played with a carbed car but if they come up th back of the motor you’ll need to do a little bending and flaring to get them up front
