2032 cam questions
I'm thinking of upgrading cams in my 350 tpi to a Crane 2032. The engine is currently getting rebuilt and now would be the time to do it... car already has headers into full 3" exhaust, 3.42 gears, and 1.6 rockers. Other than that it's stock.
Will it run and drive on stock tune?
When I get a custom PROM burned, will that eliminate the need for an adjustable fuel pressure regulator and/or larger than stock injectors?
Will it work with my 1.6 rockers?
What kind of gains can I expect?
Any info would be appreciated!

2. Yes. Though it will be apart, you may want to inspect and or replace aging parts. If those injectors are original then it may be time for new injectors anyway.
3. Maybe. Depends on geometry and such.
4. Some. I can't be anymore specific. Lots of searching and debates and people switching parts tends to suggest there's more power to be gained on replacing heads and a stock cam over keeping stock heads and switching cams. Not saying stick with the stock cam, but I am saying there's less power there than it may seem.

That cam will run fine on a stock tune in a MAF car. Get some zz4 valve springs if you are going with a 1.6 rocker

Re: 2032 cam questions
Way back when I rebuilt my 355, I went the a mild SLP cam and changed to their runners. Ran stock heads. It was part of a combo that with the TPI on top and a 2.77 out back could keep up with stock A4 LT1 with 2.73 gears. If it is already apart and you know you will not change heads later, might as well put a mild cam in. You will get more power than stock, but it will not be a world beater all of the sudden.
Even a car in stock trim can get gains from a custom tune, so as you change things it only opens up more area for improvement in the tune. You have already hit the big ones with gears and headers, while the engine is out I would also suggest a 2200 or so torque converter be added.

Re: 2032 cam questions
I ran a zz4 cam on the stock tune and it passed NC emissions, way back in the day. Pretty sure it was a bit bigger than the 2032. The MAF is pretty forgiving. Still, a tune is never a bad idea. It's unlikely that you'll need an AFPR either before or after the tune, though the tune will compensate your fueling for whatever injectors you have.
