Which tpi setup should we use?

I'm helping my brother revive his base 88 iroc. We got to doing a bit of googling and talking and decided we both liked the idea of converting his lo3 305 to tpi. What I'd like to know is which year setup would be the best and simplest to use? We aren't looking to make it a strip terror just a peppy reliable dd. Will likely good headers and possibly a mild cam. Kinda wanna make the car so that the "rebadged rs" comments stop lol. Also was there any harness pin out changes over the years? I'll have other questions as we progress but that'll do me for now lol

I'd say 89 TPI is a good idea. MAF (can make some changes without tuning), and no 9th injector.

Would any changes be needed to fit the 89 harness to the 88 camaro? I have some experience with efi engine swaps on other gm platforms just never got that far on f bodies

Re: Which tpi setup should we use?

These cars are old. I would always use a new harness and ECM to match what I'm running.
