Firehawk 350

I'm attempting to build a Firehawk motor for my ESP camaro. From all the reading I've done, all the sources seem to follow the same general concept:

""The heart of the Firehawk is its powerplant. A heavy-duty block is employed, and features a forged steel crank, vertical 4-bolt main caps,“pink’ rods, cast pistons from the Gen II small-block and an SLP-designed hydraulic roller cam. The gang at SLP then massages a set of aluminum cylinder heads and fits them with stainless steel valves (2-inch on the intake side, 1.56 on the exhaust)."

My reading of this is that the Firehawk motor was a ZZ4 block, with 083 Corvette heads with a portjob and larger valves, the SLP 214/224 .470/.490 (1.5:1 rockers) cam, LT1 pistons, and the T ram intake.

It would seem to me that the compression would be out of control with LT1 heads and a 083 head... am I wrong about this? I feel like this combo could be easily put together. I found a similar cam from Comp that is actually less aggressive, so it fits the SCCA SP rule

"15.11 OUT-OF-PRODUCTION CARS
Where a car is out of production and the manufacturer is either out of
business, stocks no parts, or no longer has a required part, a part of any
origin but as similar as possible to the original may be substituted. The
entrant must be prepared to show documentary evidence that one of
the three circumstances above applies and that the substituted part is
as similar as possible under the circumstances. Substitute parts which
provide improvements in performance (e.g., superior gearing, lighter
weight, better camshaft profile) are not permitted under this allowance."

Am I on the right track with this build?
