Speed density TPI, no injector groung pulse cranking
Seen alot of other threads about this, still have no ground pulse. The thing starts on ether, will continue to run; 45 psi w/vac line disconnected. Pump primes when key is turned on, I have spark at the plugs, Injectors are new Bosch 24 lb/hr, ohm @ 12, New dist, am getting signal from dist to ECU, continuity good, injectors pulse if you manually supply ground, the noid light will not light cranking, but as soon as you give it a small ether shot it fires and runs, as soon as it fires, the noid does light.Have 12v to the ECU from switch, one continuous hot, one key on. They both stay hot cranking. Bypassed the start switch, turn key on, use remote starter button, no change. All the grounds are hooked up and good, have multiple grounds from batt to block, to body, to frame etc. The ECU will start on other TPI vehicles, the Memcal has been custom made for the app; (383, compatable comp cam, c.r. etc) have had it checked also, it's good. This has been driving me nuts, and the "pros" I've been talking to have been heplful, but no solution so far. They say that there is no difference in cranking and run as far as injector ground pulse goes, and it should either start, or not run at all. Any help would be appreciated. THanks.

How the Hell do you do things on this site? Grtanted, I'm an old knuckle dragger, but it ain't "user friendly".

I believe that the distributor (not exactly sure which part, I want to say the ignition control module) controls injector pulse under 300 RPMs. This would explain why, once running, it works.

I'll take a look at that, but the dist. and module are both new, plus it was the same with the original dist. Thanks for your reply.

So far no cure, however what I am going to do is tap a relay into the cranking wire (purple), and go through a relay that will ground the side of the injectors that fire when grounded. Doing that alone would probably fllod the motor, so am going to use a "vibrator" that will enable me to adjust the pulse width; the only problem right now is the person that is helping me with this is in Fla. right now, and won't be back in CO. until thje 1st part of April. Ask me more then. He's a sort of electronic whiz.
