Car: 1988 GTA Trans AM
Engine: 305 TPI
Transmission: 5 speed
no start
Driving home tonite, car sputters and shuts off, wont restart, just cranks, n cranks. I was down to a 1/4 tank, was stopn for gas when this happened, thought maybe gas gauge was busted so got a can and put gas in it, just cranks, got it towed home
now looking for ideas, check spark and fuel pressure? I know theres gas in rail as if u push on Schrader valve it squirts gas
what pressure readn should it be when cranking?
any other ideas to check? fuses? relay?
Car is a 1988 GTA Trans AM, 305 TPI, 5 speed
thanks in advance to all
hooked up fuel pressure gauge, turned key to on, gauge went to 42, it dropped to 20 within 6 minutes, so doesn't seem to hold , but it is getn gas

Re: no start
Rail pressure is fine but does not mean the engine is " getting gas "
Pull a spark plug out, if it is wet you " have gas" ; if not the injectors are not being fired.
Test for injector pulse at the inj connectors using a noid light
If plugs are wet with fuel , check for spark
How to here.
