Edelbrock TPI Intake
Guys, I am getting ready to re-install my TPI intake and am wondering if I need to check and/or clean the 5 bottom side clean-outs? I assume they are clean outs, am I correct?
Another question, what it the rear threaded port in the rear of the intake by the distributor for?

Re: Edelbrock TPI Intake
Thanks! I will go look at that it. Really like how you modified the bracket because my car had those stock bolt studs and they were loose when I was trying it apart to fix coolant leaks.
The reason I asked about the bolt is a previous owner of this car hacked up (cut) a 3/8" bolt and wrapped it with teflon tape and it looks to be another area that was leaking.

Yes, the driver side is plugged but the passenger side is messed up and leaking. I guess I will have to probably drill and tap it for a larger bolt. Maybe I will have to call Edelbrock tomorrow and ask them.
Thanks

Re: Edelbrock TPI Intake
I called and spoke with Edelbrock before doing anything. I explained how someone before me threaded a standard 3/8" UNC bolt all the way down into the coolant port. He told me to be careful because there is not a lot of material in that area and there is a chance that tapping it could crack the aluminum, so I asked what about welding it? He said since I did not need that port that welding would probably be the best option. So I found a guy local here to weld up that hole. I hope it holds!!!
Also took the recommendation to modify my coil bracket to work with the intake and ARP bolts
