Car starts idles for about 3 seconds then dies

Car: 1989 IROC-Z28 Camaro
Engine: none
Transmission: T-56 W/ Spec 1 Clutch
Axle/Gears: 9 Bolt BW 3.27 Gears
Car starts idles for about 3 seconds then dies
So i finally go my car to start. I have an 89 iroc-z with a freshly rebuilt 350. at first the car would only crank an would not start. so i decided to change my wiring harness from my 88 iroc ( parts car for now) into my 89 iroc. after that the car would crank and i was able to hear my fuel pump prime which that wouldnt happen before i swapped wiring harnesses. so then i switch my ECMs and the car fired up. it idles really low, less than 500 rpms and then it dies and if i give it gas it kills it instantly. ANY IDEAS ANYONE?? PLEASE

Also the oil pressure sensors are different from 88 to 89 and my guage doesnt work anymore with the 88 wiring harness. could this be my problem?

Was your car equipped with a 350 to begin with? If not than check the fuel pump pressure cause it might not be getting enough fuel. Or your prom in the ecm might not match up with the new stuff, if changes have been made. I've got a 355 Tbi in my 91 RS, I'm still working on it, looking at just converting over to Carb, cause it runs without map sensor, dies when map sensor is hooked up. Map sensor is new! Good luck

it had a 305 but i swapped a 350 in it last year and ran great it got me from new mexico to washington and back without any issues but i decided that i wanted alittle more power out of it so i did it all over. i bought an adjustable fuel pressure regulator and set it at 48psi and my ecm is from my 88 iroc that has a 350 originally...i was thinking that my problem might be with the oil pressure sending unit since they are wired alittle different. the 89 has three connecters, an orange, tan/white and a tan connecter. the 88 has the orange and tan/white wires going to the oil sensor and i believe it has the tan wire going to another sensor that is by the distributor.... can i just use my 89 sensor and switch and connect the tan wire..will this work?? i hope this all makes sense to someone

Well i was able to make the 88 oil pressure sensor work with the 89 and now i get oil pressure on my guage and the car doesnt die so quickly anymore...i checked my ecm for codes and its throwing 22 (TPS) and 34 (MAF)
