throttle body coolant lines....why?
I've got the top end pulled apart for a injection replacement and I have to wonder why the throttle body had coolant lines? To warm the air charge?
My 92Z still has all the original date coded radiator hoses and one of the TB lines recently sprung a leak so i had to replace. But regular heater hoses won't make that bend to nicely. Had to put a large diameter spring inside to prevent it from collapsing.
I hear about others with a TB bypass setup. Is it just routing the coolant line around the TB or do I actually need to buy something?
Pluses and minuses of running coolant through the TB?

if you drive your car in high humidity/low ambient temps, your TB will begin to ice up in short order.that is the purpose of running coolant thru the TB.its ok to delete it if you live, say in phoenix AZ. or some other gates of hell hot climate.

I needed that hose last year and NAPA had them. I had to take the original in and they matched it up.
