Remote mount adjustable fuel pressure regulator
Hi. I'm upgrading my TPI including rear fuel feed. As part of the upgrade I'd like to use a remote mount adjustable fuel pressure regulator like the ones used on LS1 conversions. My question is, what do I do with the stock regulator mounted on the rails? Is there a way to delete it? Thanks.

Re: Remote mount adjustable fuel pressure regulator
I just bought a Aeromotive fuel pressure regulator because I need one with a boost reference. I'm planning on installing mine before the fuel rail. I also need to do something with my OE regulator. I have heard guys mention drilling and tapping the cover of the OE regulator to make it adjustable. That should work if you can adjust it so it is wide open and then the remote regulator will do the regulating.

Re: Remote mount adjustable fuel pressure regulator
Won't work.
On EFI, the reg needs to be AFTER the fuel rails on the return side to hold rail pressure up.
Only carbs have a reg BEFORE to drop pressure down
They make it adjustable so it stays closed longer to get a higher pressure.
You can't adjust it to a lower than stock (wide open ) pressure
Take the spring out ; it is no longer a regulator .
Just a chamber with a diaphragm in it

Re: Remote mount adjustable fuel pressure regulator
Thanks for the replies. My return is coming from the stock regulator. It's been drilled and tapped and fitted with a -6AN adapter. I have to go back to the fuel rail mod thread to remember what size adapter I need for the lines.
